Tower in sunrise


In the middle ages, Bruges was protected by a big wall. That wall is completely disappeared by now, but some towers still remain. This is one of those towers in the Gentpoortstraat, as seen in an early sunrise.

Wow, stunning!!! Great colors. Is the "square" on top of which the tower stands, a remnant of that wall?

Elinane, you only see the tower (which is actually round). The walls are completely gone.

Really great photo, love the colour. Have not been to Bruges in quite a while but I really liked the city.
